An artist I follow sometimes uses the lasso tool for speedpainting. And I tried to find him again but got lost in my list of blogs! Tried it out. Loved it. This one is definitely influenced by Mary Blair's Sleeping beauty work, and some of the stuff Claire Keane did for Tangled.
Great piece, Kennedy! I could feel the Mary Blair influence from first glance. Also, it's not quite the same, but the 2D sequences in Kung Fu Panda have a similar, shape-centric style (but more Asian).
